Our Floors

February 2012

This spring we decided that we would like to sell our house and relocate somewhere nearby.  We LOVE our area, friends and schools.
The idea of selling, renting, then buying sounded like a good option for us.
Even though we'll have to move twice.  The thought of being able to "shop" for the right home and being free to jump on a deal works for us.  Our great friends have a home that they are willing to rent us short term.

In preparation to sell our home, we decided to redo our hardwood floors.
6 weeks after my surgery.....still fragile in the feet department.
I used to do hair right here and over time, it really took a toll on our floors.
I've tried to find some before pics to get an idea of how bad they were.
They desperately needed to be done!
See the floors? Gray and the finnish worn off in areas.
Frankie loves to stuff things in his mouth when he sees me coming.  He knows I'll come fish it out and that it is wrong to be eating paper, TP, small toys etc...  If he doesn't see me, he won't even put it in his mouth.  Funny boy.

Worn floors.

We needed 3 good days to do it so we chose Presidents Day weekend.

My dad, Kevin and I worked hard.
Lots of sanding, vacuuming, wiping and moping on the finnish.

 They turned out beautiful!

I was so proud of ourselves!
We had to wait 7 days for the floor to cure before we could put our furniture back.
We stuffed our furniture in our garage, hallways and all over our house.  What a mess!

I love the way they turned out!!
