We lived here for 10 years!  

Our first home.  Where we began our marriage and our family.  This place will always hold so many wonderful memories!  It's hard to believe that at one point, the little front yard had no grass, lots of bark and rocks and 11 trees.  You could barley see the home.  

As much as I'm ready to move on to the next chapter in our home living, I'll miss the life we lived here. There is nothing like those precious memories of bringing each of our children home from the hospital here.  And growing with each one of them in many different ways.  

Yes I love change, but at the same time I'm sentimental too.  So leaving here was a little hard.

We planned to sell our home first and rent our friends home down the street while we look to buy a little bit bigger home in the area.  We feel so lucky and blessed that we have this option!

We de-cluttered, touch-up painted and staged our home to sell.

We got an offer in 3 days and closed 30 days later.  

It went fast!  I wanted to post these photos to have them here all in one spot for memories.

The floors look great!

Memories flood my mind of the activity of our life spent here as I look at each one of those pictures.  I'm so glad I have them!  

My new buffet!

When you walk into my home, you are greeted with this.

Built in little shelves and an entry table.  

This is where I set up my salon and do hair twice a week.

For the longest time I've wanted a buffet table (thanks to my SIL Emily).

Back in boring January, I found this one on KSL (better than craigslist in Utah) for a whopping $150

They sell for around $400 in consignment shops.  

I thought it'd be perfect for my "salon" station and I could not pass up such a good deal!

I loaded up the kids and headed to Payson with my Dad (an hour south) to get it. 

 I knew it was a winner and I knew it would sell fast!  

A BIG thanks to my Dad who painted it for me!

It just brightens up my room!

I'm still trying to figure out what to put on top of it.  Cole broke my bigger glass lamp so this one is there till I figure out what to put on the top.  That book shelf (which has been so hard for me to stage) has a lot going on so maybe I should keep the buffet simple.  My friend Alicia helped me with the current set up of the shelves and I love it.  

Any suggestions for the buffet?  

I replaced the knobs with Anthropology type glass knobs for half the price from World Market.

My Kitchen...

We have lived in our home for almost 8 years.  We bought it when we got married and over the years have done a bit here and there to fix it up.  The homes in my neighborhood are small yet charming.  People take pride in fixing them up inside and out and the tree lined streets are charmed with cute street lamps.  My home was built in the 1940's.  My kitchen is a very small room with aluminum white cabinets and white counter tops.  

For the last 6 years my walls have been this barn red.   But last week an idea popped in my head to paint it Aqua.  I thought all my red accessories would look so cute with it.  So I seized the moment and my wonderful Dad came up and helped me crank it out in one morning!  

I'm so bummed I didn't take before pictures but it was late and dark when I had remembered.  

So I found a few pictures in my archives so you can get the idea.  I love Before and Afters!

This photo below is freaky looking of me because Cole took the picture and clearly didn't hold still.  So forget me, look at the walls.  

And After:

So crisp, clean, and new!  I LOVE IT!!!  It is so fun how much paint can change a room!  Now I want to touch up paint all the cupboards a fresh white!

Don't you just love how many photos I uploaded for my tiny little kitchen?  

I just can't wait to accessorize it a bit more!  I need to make a trip to my favorite store, Jolleys! 

Every time I walk pass the mirror above the sink and see me in my new kitchen I get so excited!  The color makes me just feel cute! 

 What do you think?  Is it too trendy?  Or a good change? 

Thanks Dad for your help!  It was great to have a man around to help me fix a few things!
