Young Women

For the last year I have being serving in the Young Womens organization of my church.  I have been really busy with it (my reason for slowing down on crafts and sewing) but I love it!
We have done a lot of fun things and it seems like I am using Young Womens for my creative outlet lately.

I've decided that it would be fun to keep all those ideas in one spot so I created an Our Scoop Church type blog.  Recently I have shared some fundraising ideas on Sugardoodle.  Since then, I have been receiving a lot of emails about the details so why not start a blog to share more fun ideas?
So stop by, say Hi, and check out my first post

"P" Party!

The Young Women in our church have a goal setting program called Personal Progress.  It helps them develop a testimony of Jesus Christ through activities, scripture study and prayer.

We thought it would be fun to have an activity to help the young women start some goals or pass things off.  I got this fun idea off Sugardoodle.

We had so much fun Preparing for this Party!  Our brains went crazy thinking of all the P things we could involve.  We even had it at Sister P.......'s Place.

Pink and Purple Polka dot balloons.

Everyone brought a P snack.

I brought my favorite sugar cookies.
Purple Pumpkin cookies on my Pink and Purple Paisley Plate.  (try and say that fast)

We had Pizza and Pop.

We broke off into groups with the leaders and worked on some value Projects.  Some were able to Pass things off that night.  And I was able to use my Purple Pen (which I had taped to the end of my Princess wand). :)

My darling Personal Progress leader put together these cute door prizes.
Pedicure kit
"Put your best foot forward with Personal Progress"

The winner, who wore the most P items, received this cute Pink basket filled with all things that begin with a P.

All of us in our P garb.  Pajamas, Plaid, Polka dot, Pink, Purple, Pirate ;), Princess, Ponytails......  We had a lot of fun telling of all our P items!
It was such a fun night.  Now I have a hard time saying anything with a P without a big Pronunciation.

My girls stood on the porch whining to come with me.  All they heard me talk about was the P party I was going to.  They wanted to dress up as Princess too.  I'll have to have one with them.  One of their favorite games to play is "I'm running to Young Womens!", "I have to go to a Young Womens meeting!", " I have to go to the P party!", "I'm off to Young Womens!"  while caring notepads and pens.

My life must seems so glamorous to them.
Oh it is!
