Easter 2012

April 2012
Our kids have to wait until church is over to do the Easter bunny stuff.
We have a little hunt in our backyard and meet up with extended family for dinner later.

Frankie had to be on oxygen while sleeping at home.
So cannula stickers are on his cheeks for the ease of applying the oxygen cannula (tubing) for sleep.

I did it again.  Got a bee in my bonnet and sewed this skirt for Sadie the night before.
Being trapped in the hospital really did something to me.  MaryJane is wearing the dress I sewed for Sadie for Easter in 2009.  I had this fabric in my stash and was pleased that it matched.

Family Easter Dinner at my Sister-In-Laws parents home:

My poor kids were awful for pictures!  They had no patience for it that day.

Frankie feeling so big.  Loved the thrill of riding down the driveway.

Cutest little playhouse cottage.

 Grandpa, Nana and Cousins.

Grandma Stormy got to come too!

Poor MaryJane is just not cooperating here. :)

Frankie is always up for a smile!
So good to see his spirits back to normal.

 Getting stronger!  Learning to stand.

The kids waiting for the bug hunt.
I couldn't help myself.  After seeing Sound of Music so much lately I made them lean opposite and sing
"Coo Coo."

I love photos of my kids hunting for eggs wearing their Easter clothes!

Easter 2011

I know, I'm way behind.
Better late than never right?
We had Easter at my SIL parents beautiful home.
Cole, Luke, Austin, Kate, Sadie, Zach and MaryJane.
I love watching the kids hunt for eggs in their Easter clothes.

Nice crocs Cole.  There is always something, right?

Getting Frankie to look at the camera is quite the challenge.

Grandpa and Nana

Frankie is not quite sitting up on his own.
Some how I managed to snap this while Kevin's hand was out view.

Easter 2010

I'm finally getting around to posting Easter!  We had a great time in beautiful California over spring break.  A big thank you to our families in Cali. for letting our crazy bunch stay with them!

We started our morning off by dying eggs.

And attempted family photos at a near by park.

Always a chore to get them all looking at the camera.  I love MaryJane's little face here.  Suits her personality quite well.

I made the girls dresses again this year.  Very similar to the dresses I made last year.  Sadie's request, "puffy sleeves and a sash".  I made Cole's tie too.  I'm not in love with the fabric but it was fun and easy to learn.

After a wonderful Easter dinner prepared by my fabulous mother, we had a little Easter egg hunt at Nate's house.
We were so lucky to be in sunny California and have beautiful Easter weather!

Easter Weekend 2009!

Nana and Grandpa thought it would be fun to take the grandkids to the Kangaroo Zoo on Saturday for their Easter gift.  The Easter Bunny even made an appearance!
Sadie surprised me and was all over the place!  She LOVED it!  Thanks Nana and Grandpa for the fun afternoon!

Our fun filled day ended with dying Easter eggs!

I think my kids are just SO SICK of me taking their picture all the time, It seams I can never get them to look at the camera anymore.  Such a Chore!
I made the girls dress this year!  My first dresses really. (other than the pillowcase dress)  The sleeves were MUCH easier than I anticipated!  All in all, a really easy pattern!  I used Simplicity 4647 A for the bodice, changed out the zipper for matching fabric buttons and then my neighbor (who is a FABULOUS seamstress) taught me how to make the bottom which is called a circle skirt. (or half circle skirt which I did.  It required less fabric)  The fabric is made by Michael Miller.  Sandi Henderson's Farmers Market Party Petal Pink.  My inspiration came from the Shabby Baby dresses.  So cute, but more than I wanted to spend.  The dresses both cost me a total of $24 to make!  Can't beat that!

On Easter we had our annual feast and egg hunt at my SIL parents home.  Perfect for Easter!  Thanks Butlers!

Cousins!
MaryJane decided not to participate in this photo because she was too busy doing this....

most of the evening!!!!  GLUED to my hip!
Nearly Impossible to take good photos with a baby on the hip!

But here is proof that she did have an enjoyable Easter!  These were taken earlier in our backyard during our mini hunt for their baskets after church.  And yes, I have food stuffed in those puffy checks.  Hey, at least it was a hard boiled egg and not chocolate!  Had to seize the photo op!

Hope you all had an enjoyable weekend as well!
