Camper Floors / May Misc

May 2012
Memorial Day project!
This is my sad "before" pictures of my camper floors.  I'm always so bad at remembering to take "before" photos.  I'm just to darn anxious to get started!

The floors were yuck.  Old linoleum pealing up in places and tacked down with metal strips on other places.

I got the VCT tile from Home Depot. A case of red and a case of white for $70 total.
With plenty to spare.

Measuring out the tile pattern.

Kevin cut the tiles and I glued them down.

Drying.

We did this project at my parents while my mom watched my kids.
Missing Frankie after working all day.

Love the transformation!

Replacing the floors changed the feel of the camper dramatically.
I LOVE them!

We couldn't wait to see it with the cushions in.

The School Bash must mean that it is almost summer.

Face Painting!

The dunk tank is the hit every year.
Cole and Gavin.

My awning came for the camper!
Excitement!

Air Show

May 2012

It's always fun to go to the Air Show on memorial day weekend.
My cousins live near the base, so we dropped Frankie off with them and headed to the noisy tar-mac.
I love these pictures.  I'll let them tell the story.

Spring Visit from Aunt Jill!

May 2012

Boy do we love Aunt Jill!  We always look forward to her visits!
She is so nice to spoil my kids.  That's what aunts are for!
She brought my girls these cute suits from Lands End.

And these ADORABLE dresses too!!
Perfect for twirling!

Aunt Jill is always so entertaining!
She decided that she'd like to pack up MaryJane in her carry-on bag and take her home.

It was also Mother's day weekend.  So grateful to be these kids mother!

I love that Jill got to be here with us!

We met up with cousins for lunch one day at City Creek.

After which, we took Sadie to get her ears pierced.  We thought we'd wait for Aunt Jill to visit so she could come.

Nervous excited!

Nana and Frankie were there too.  He sure loves his Nana!

Excitement just before.

And after.  Not a tear!  That a girl!
Love her!

was sitting in Frankie's stroller in tears.  Beside herself that she couldn't have hers done too.
Thankfully we were in Claire's and bribed her happy with a little necklace.
She'll have to wait til 7 too.

It was a special day for Sadie!

As usual, we had lots of fun when Jill came and I was terrible at taking more photos.
Can't wait until we can see her again!

Cole is 9!

May 2012
Nine!
Rise and shine for presents.
All Cole wanted was Skylanders!
He had a special day.
I checked him out of school and took him to his choice for lunch.
KFC. We never eat there but it's one of his favs. :)

We had a little family party in the evening.

Grandma got him water guns which ended up in a fun birthday water fight.
Who needs guns when you've got a hose?

Since we were so busy with selling the house, we took Cole and a few friends to Fat Cats for bowling, glow-in-the-dark mini golf and arcade games.

Nalu, Tommy, Cole, Peter and Jonny.

The girls were happy to fill-in for the boys who couldn't make it.

Cole, we love you!  You add so much life to our family!

Sold

April 2012
We lived here for 10 years!
Our first home.  Where we began our marriage and our family.  This place will always hold so many wonderful memories!  It's hard to believe that at one point, the little front yard had no grass, lots of bark and rocks and 11 trees.  You could barley see the home.
As much as I'm ready to move on to the next chapter in our home living, I'll miss the life we lived here. There is nothing like those precious memories of bringing each of our children home from the hospital here.  And growing with each one of them in many different ways.

Yes I love change, but at the same time I'm sentimental too.  So leaving here was a little hard.

We planned to sell our home first and rent our friends home down the street while we look to buy a little bit bigger home in the area.  We feel so lucky and blessed that we have this option!

We de-cluttered, touch-up painted and staged our home to sell.
We got an offer in 3 days and closed 30 days later.
It went fast!  I wanted to post these photos to have them here all in one spot for memories.

The floors look great!

Memories flood my mind of the activity of our life spent here as I look at each one of those pictures.  I'm so glad I have them!
