Family Reunion!

3 days after our California trip we headed on another trip.  A family reunion on my side of the family.  Because it was such a quick and exhausting turn around it put me so behind on blogging.  I need to stop taking so many pictures!  I get overwhelmed thinking about uploading, posting and documenting.  I know I'll love to look back on these times so I'm forcing my self to move on!  

We had such a fun time with so many cousins and kids to play with!

There was so much work that went into this!

We went to the Heber Valley Girls Camp area and stayed in Yurts.

Each family was assigned a day to do a craft and games.  My kids had a blast with so many cousins!  

Sadie's outfit killed me that day.  She dressed herself.  I had to pack the car and take all the kids up to be there by 10 a.m. (kev had to come up later from work) and dressing her was the last thing on my mind.  

Sadie is one silly girl.  When she is hot, she likes to cool down by taking off her clothes.  Usually it is her shirt (like daddy does).  But this time it was her leggings.
I can't seem to brake her of this habit. 

But no worries, she got right back to her bean bag tossing game.

The kids made a cute Temple picture block and yummy chocolate covered marshmallows.

We had our first ever Spaghetti dogs!  It was quite entertaining for everyone!  Just poke as many spaghetti noodles through a hot dog and boil til done.

The ropes coarse was an interesting experience.  I stayed at the cabin with Frankie. Thankfully my sister Jill was there to capture the moments for me.

Sadie was a little too short to do this challenge but somehow her dad snuck her on.  She surprised everyone and climbed to the top barely reaching each peg/step(?), walking across the balance beam and then ride the zip line to the bottom.  

Who knew this little girl was so gutsy? 

We were in charge of the family talent show.

I really need to learn how to take better night photos with my camera.  I didn't do so well.  I just hate the look of flash.  

It was starting to get cold so we were able to use the pavilion.  My uncle helped us string up some lights for the stage(he has and brought everything one could need for camping) which we hung glittered stars from.  My cousin Daniel is a D.J and brought all his sound equipment for us to use. We didn't hold back.

With my Cricut I made 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places winner badges.

Cole wowed everyone with his famous "mini man" and jammed to his favorite heavy metal song Black Dog by Led Zepllin.

Sadie and MaryJane showed off their new favorite shirt twist while shaking their hips to Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeal, All the Single Ladies.

They just stood there with big grins on their face while shaking their hips.

They were going to wear their leotards and tap shoes but it was too cold and they wanted their shirts like that so bad.  Thanks to Aunt Stacey to teach it to them.  I used to do that all the time as a child.

The winners received itunes gift cards.  Which we assumed they could share with their whole family since they were little.  And every participant got 100 Grand candy bars.

Cole was so thrilled on this trip because he lost his 1st tooth!  Finally!  

He's been waiting a long time!  He's in second grade.

I couldn't help but to jump in the photo, I was so excited for him.

Lion King!

The day after we arrived home from California, we went to the broadway play

The Lion King which is on tour here in Salt Lake City.

Thankfully my sister Jill flew in from D.C. just in time to meet and watch frankie for me.

I was so thrilled that Cole and Sadie could come!  I teared up in the opening scene watching my kids faces in awe of the cool animals and music.  I loved this play!  What an amazing production!

Beach Day!

For Beth and Jaida's birthday we went to the funnest place called corvette dinner.  The waitress' wore fifties wigs, sang, danced and tied straws in peoples hair.  It was so fun! 

 Couldn't get over the sign we saw hidden on the wall in a discrete location.

Grandma treated us all to LEGOLAND!  First time for everyone and probably the last. The kids all had fun except for MaryJane.  She got turned away on nearly every ride!  It was so dumb!  I think she was able to go on 4 rides the whole day!  Torture for a 2 1/2 year old! :(   We snuck her on the car driving one and she was thrilled!  We also did the water park.  The water was cold and the lines were way long for the water slides.  The kids didn't really get in for long.  Save the water park for a different park different day.  For the money, Disneyland can't even compare.  It's much better.  But hey,  the kids still had fun. 

For some reason MaryJane was allowed to ride a fast roller coaster we had found at the end of the night.  She LOVED it!  And so did all the kids.

She's the BEST big sister.  MaryJane is so lucky!

We had a fabulous time at the beach this year with the family!  It felt so good to get out and enjoy that ocean air! 

I can't believe I don't have a picture of frankie in Cali.!  He was such an angel and was so easy!  He stayed in his shady carseat most of the time while were out and about. :)

California!

For two months we haven't done much or gone anywhere.  I don't like to take my new babies out much before they are 2 months.  Boy, that last week was rough!  I was anxiously awaiting our California trip to the beach.  The day he got his shots, we left for our trip to San Diego with Kevin's family.

Frankie was a complete angel the whole way!

I didn't have to fuss with him once the whole drive for two days!  He just slept.  I had to wake him to eat.

She sang it at the top of her lungs in the car ride.

We had a pit stop in Vegas.  My kids were so excited to stay in a hotel! 

Sadie was VERY dissapointed to learn that the maids don't fan you and wait on your every need.

Sadly, we left MaryJane's lovey behind at the hotel.  I cried when I realized we didn't have it while passing Prim.  I almost love that thing as much as she does!  It comforts her so much.  She'll fall asleep anywhere with that thing!  I can't even begin to explain how much that blankie soothes and calms her!  How could I do a week trip without it?  

She cried herself to sleep the first night.

Thanks to Fed Ex, I paid 20 bucks to have it shipped to us the next day!

2 months

Frankie is now two months old!  I can't believe it!  

I just love him so much!!

Weighing a whopping 8lbs 14 oz

I can't stop kissing his creamy white soft squishy cheeks!

His muscle tone is really good!  Strong arms and legs.  His head is still floppy though.  It might take awhile for him to learn to hold his head up on his own.  I'm so thankful his health has been so good!  I have felt so blessed!  I've enjoyed everyday of this little boys life!  I can't believe he's mine!

Ouch!

A few weeks ago, Cole had been fevering for 5 days.  So I took him in to be seen and on the way to the doctor he slammed his finger in the door.  It hurt him pretty bad.  I haven't seen him cry like that in awhile.  Poor thing.  It hurt him SO bad!  Good thing we were headed to the Dr.  

He cleaned it and sealed it back together with glue.  

Thankfully, Oreo shakes made both our pain go away quickly. ;)

What?  It hurt me to see him in that much pain!

Quite the bandage for a small cut.  

The nurse said to leave it on for two days to protect the wound from getting bumped and bleeding.

Right,  It lasted all of 20 minutes.

My Birthday!

I can't believe how backed up I am on blogging!

Last month I celebrated my 32nd birthday!  

Kev bought me the BEST cake!!!!!

A chocolate peanut butter ice cream cake from Cold Stone.

Usually I request one from Baskin Robbins but sorry BR,  I can't go back!  This cake is delicious!

For years I've been wanting to paint my front room Silver Sage from Restoration Hardware but just haven't done it.  So I asked my Dad if he would do it for my birthday present.  Sometimes it looks blue, green or grey.   I just love it!   Thanks Dad!

What do you think?  I can't explain how much I love it!  Now I just need to sew some fun bright pillows, add new curtains, a new rug and get rid of the accessories that don't match.
I don't see any of that happening real soon.
